What is the client to guide ratio?We aim for a 2:1 or 3:1 client to guide ratio to maintain our personalized and hands-on environment. For some courses and in some situations we may have 4:1 ratio, but will never exceed that.

What if I don't have all the necessary gear?Let us know during the booking process and we will help make sure you have everything before your booked day. We recommend that you reserve any gear that you need to rent through the USU OP Rental Shop. They have limited availability on the weekends, so reserve early! The prices are very affordable. ://www.usu.edu/campusrec/outdoor/op-shop. We may also be able to provide you with some items.

How early does it start? Where do we meet?We typically will meet at 8AM at the bottom of logan canyon for introductions, and then drive up the canyon from there. If you are picking up rental gear then we will meet at the rental shop at 9AM to pick up your gear and go from there. We are always flexible and willing to accommodate to your preferred schedule. More details are sent out after booking a course.

Is food provided?You are responsible for your own snacks and lunches.

What if my trip date needs to be changed or cancelled due to weather, snow, or avalanche conditions?We will reschedule you as soon as we can. If a different date doesn't work, you will receive a full refund.

What type of physical fitness is required?It depends on the trip. In general, you will need to be able to move in the mountains for however long your course is.

How do you handle emergencies or medical situations while on the trip?On all of our trips there will at least one guide that is Wilderness First Responder certified and carrying an emergency communication device and medical kit. We have a comprehensive emergency plan that will go into effect if the situation calls for it. The areas that we will be recreating in are generally low risk.
