Intro to Backcountry Skiing

In a personalized and hands-on environment, we teach the skills necessary to get you started or help you along on your backcountry skiing journey.

Curriculum: 

• How to use skins and backcountry touring equipment 

• How to use basic avalanche rescue equipment 

• How to go up and down the mountain efficiently

• How to interpret an avalanche forecast

• How to recognize avalanche terrain

Prerequisites:

• Moderate Ski or Snowboard Experience

​

This course will be available upon request starting on Dec 15. Dates are always liable to change based on snow, weather, and avalanche conditions.
